This is just a real simple and savory dry rub to put on your bird. It works well whether you’re cooking in the oven, in the smoker, or on the grill. If you like a little zing or a little sweetness with your bird, add in a pinch of cayenne or some brown sugar.
3 tablespoons smoked paprika (non-smoked paprika also works fine)
3 tablespoons granulated garlic
3 tablespoons granulated onion
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
1 teaspoon dried thyme
Mix together until well-combined, rub a little olive oil on your bird, and coat liberally with the dry rub. It’s delicious. You’re welcome.
